Keep An Eye Out!

Hey Guys,

I've recently seen these shoes alllll over blogs and youtube and I can tell H&M really hit the jackpot with this design. I personally love them myself, they give off an amazing edgy chunky heel look without being too dressy or overdone. This is also coming from a person who is 6 foot tall and swore off heels as they aren't exactly necessary in my life and I've been tempted to go out and buy them myself. I have to give you a fair warning, because they are so raved about, I have yet to see them online so my guts telling me they've sold out. Still, check your H&M and pray you get lucky because these ones are worth the money.

Pick of the Week

Hey Guys,

Here with the usual pick of the week. This one I've been wanting for a longggg time and I gravitate towards it every time I walk into Aritzia. Only reason I haven't purchased is, well, the price tag... it's a bit much .. I really love how this cardigan drapes I think it would be perfect for those comfy days at uni, throw on some leather detail leggings, heeled booties and a studded purse to subtly match the pockets studs and you'd be good to go. Another thing that would go perfectly is a faux fur collar, with the structure of this cardigans neckline it would perfectly compliment it.

Nuxe - Reve de Miel

Hey Guys,

I wanted to make a post about this lip balm I've stumbled across. This drew my eye because I had heard essie button talk about it on her channel and I've come to really trust her option.

Lets start off with the pros,
- super rich on your lips
- the balm itself lasts forever so you can smack your lips together and still feel that 'I just applied lip balm feeling just 2 minutes ago' for over an hour
- VERY moisturizing, I can put this on at  night and when I wake up the next morning my lips are perfectly smooth
- holds up in the cold cold weather. The day I purchased it I went for the walk:  'gander 'round the seawall' it was cold and super windy and by the end of our 2 hour walk my lips were still perfectly moisturized and had the feeling that I had JUST applied the lip balm
- goes perfectly under lipstick or lip stains, actually I completely recommend it as it is the best base I have found so far
- I have gotten complements by my boyfriend for how smooth my lips are with this on so that's kinda a  big deal..

And now the the cons,
- you use it up so quick, I've had it for less than a month and I'm almost 1/4 of the way through
- normally I wouldn't think the above point is that much of a con but because of the price it puts a dent in your wallet. Now Essie had warned everyone its very expensive so when I saw it I kinda expected the worst and to my surprise it wasn't a ridiculous price but still very expensive for a lip balm - $17.00 CAN
- it's hard to find, Essie lives in the UK so they do carry it in drugs stores, I believe, over there but we only have it at Shopper Drug mart in Canada. Now I have no idea where to look for this in America, sorry!
- it doesn't help with cracked dry lips, the job it does best is nurious your lips but if you have any dry cracking or anything you'll need to use a lip scrub then apply this afterwards and that fixes that con

Overall, I think this is a wonderful product, the pros defiantly weigh out the cons. I do see myself buying this again in the future, especially since my lips are a huge problem area and it makes it difficult for me to wear any lipsticks. This however to me is considered a luxury item so I won't be using it every night and day and try to savour it for the year. But, its a really really great product and I haven't heard about it that much through blogs and youtube so this is me getting the word out to you guys!

Pick of the Week!

Hey Guys,

I just found this online today actually and I thought it was a really interesting piece. It mixes the denim jacket trend with the parka really nicely and I love the look it pulls off. Something edgy paired with that, in my mind my rolling stones tee, wet look leggings and doc martens and I'll be good to go!

Thrift Haul!

Hey Guys,

I went to Value Village for their 50% off all clothing sale, how could I not jump on that opportunity? I thought I shouldn't get my hopes up because my Value Village is right by my university so if anyone else heard about the sale all the uni hipster kids would be going as well. To my surprise I got away with some awesome deals and found some sweet finds! Over all my items came to a grand total of $20.16. Crazy, I know..

A nice fulllll bag!

My absolute absolute FAVOURITE find. I couldn't help but be extremely excited when I saw this. I've been looking for a tacky 70's wind breaker and this is the best one I've seen so far! It's so awesome and its a perfect sizing for me in a mens size small. Thats right, mens! Make sure to always always check out the mens section because thats where I always find my best pieces!
Value Village - $14.99  - $7.50

It had wolves on it. I had to buy it. Credit to Jonathan for this one & the windbreaker for the find.
Value Village - $6.99 - $3.50

This one was an awesome find as well, a rose detailed corduroy shirt. The thing that's really cool is that its a shorter top so its just longer than a crop top, and I thought it would be perfect to tuck into my high waisted BGBD black pants from UO.

Value Village - $6.99 - $3.50

This top reminded me of the American Apparel lace top that I've always wanted so I snapped it up right way. This shirt is sooo long so I'm thinking just a lace bandeau, high waisted jeans and my army parka and I'll be set to go. This shirt is just the right amount of see through as well!

Value Village - $6.99 - $3.50

All items added up = $20.16. Noice.

Seattle Haul

Hey Guys,

As promised, heres my Seattle haul. I surprisingly didn't get a lot of stuff, which makes me proud if anything! More or less some essentials considering everything so much cheaper down there!

I've always wanted some Butter London nail polish but there is just no way I can justify 20$ for a single nail polish.. but.. problem solved! I found these beauty's at Normstrom Rack
Butter London Nail Polish - $34.95 , $14.95

I've always heard about this foundation on YouTube but never been able to get it because they don't sell Neutrogena makeup in Canada! So far I've been loving it, a possible blog post will be coming up soon!
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Makeup - $12.99

I heard about this product from UglyFaceofBeauty and she raved about it for eyebrows. I've recently been running out of my Mac browset and decided I didn't wanna pay that much for another. Problem solved, this product is a miracle and I wish I bought more because E.L.F. shipping to Canada is stupid expensive...

I absolutely love Bumble and Bumble products and I know I'll be sticking to them religiously so when I saw this item at Normstrom Rack I snatched it up right away because it was half the price of what I'd pay in Canada.

This is by far my new favourite scarf/snood.
Free People - $19.95 (sale)

The only clothing item I bought on the whole trip! Which was a surprise because I'm not a huge fan of Forever 21.
Rolling Stones Tank - Forever 21 - $17.80
